Is a Medical necessary for a Compensation Claim?

posted on 23 January 2012 in Uncategorised

As much as many of us dislike seeing a doctor, if you want to make a compensation claim, you will need to do this on several occasions. You will need to see a doctor when you get the injury and this will provide evidence to show that it was the accident that caused it. You may, in fact, have been taken to hospital and seen a lot of doctors. You may not want to see another one again!

It can be useful to have an independent medical examination. This will show how well your recovery is going and will establish whether you need any help currently in a medical sense. It is likely that your no win no fee solicitor will be able to organise this for you.

It is nothing to be worried about though. As much as some of us do not like doctors, it will provide vital evidence for your case. Without it, you may find that you do not get the compensation and then putting forward the claim will have been a complete waste of time.

The medical, will be done by an independent person. It will be able to prove that your medical records are correct. The other party may say that your own GP's records did not properly document the injury or whatever and so by getting an independent check as well, they will not be abl et make this sort of claim. They may also spot something your GP has missed, which could very much be in your advantage as you will be able to get the necessary treatment.

It is a standard procedure for a personal injury lawyer to make you have an independent medical assessment and so it is something that you cannot avoid if you want to make a personal injury claim.

The Real Problem with Untidy, Messy, Dirty Streets

posted on 22 January 2012 in Cars and Transport

Most of the time the dirt, debris and mess along untidy streets are neither harmful nor dangerous. You see the road sweepers come along and clean it up, and when it's gone, it's hard to imagine it was ever there at all. After all, this is the twenty-first century and unless one is in some pretty peculiar parts of the world, there isn’t going to be raw sewage, carcasses of animals or humans, or weaponry lying in the gutters. The real problem with untidy, messy, dirty streets is that it tells anyone with open eyes travelling along those streets, “We really don’t care. In fact we don’t give a damn. We don’t give a damn about ourselves, one another, or you. It is not hospitable here, and it may well be a hostile environment.” Once that message is writ large in the language of trash, uncared for property, untended natural debris and other junk, there is a spiral downward: Every passerby is apt to think, “Well if you don’t care, why on earth should any of the rest of us care?” Without caring, there is nothing left to smile about, and despair and dejection, even fear and anger, replace human dignity and joy. Trash and mess are not helpful alphabets for creating words of peace and messages about making better neighborhoods and better worlds.

Our Motorhome That Carries All Our ATVs

posted on 21 January 2012 in Holiday and Travel

For this last Christmas my family and I decided it would be good to get away for a week or so. We have a driving motorhome that allows us space in the back for our ATV's and dirt bikes. We all got time off of work and finally chose to head to New York. We packed all of our individual belongings, as well as our three 4-wheelers and 2 dirt bikes. As you all know how hilly it gets I'm sure you can imagine exactly what will happen when you don't put the bikes in gear or put the parking break on. Yup, we forgot. I don't know what exactly happened, but we did leave at about 4a.m., so the only thing I can think is that we were too tired to begin our journey from Florida to New York. Word of the stupid - never leave your house when everyone is half asleep otherwise, expect damage.

Facebook Is Simply a Waste of My Time

posted on 21 January 2012 in Internet Related

When I first started using Facebook back in 2007, I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread - I was making facebook banners and really having a ball. Not many people I knew were on Facebook then, but as time went on, more and more people around me were using it as well. I thought it was really great for getting back into contact with people I hadn't spoken to in a long time. As the years have gone on however, Facebook has just degenerated into a time wasting activity that I really don't derive much value from anymore. Do I really need to look at endless photos of other people's children/cats/dogs/weddings etc? And the endless updates from people telling the world that they just ate a sandwich or went to the shops or woke up and ate breakfast, I mean who really cares? I sure don't, and yet if I log into Facebook I find myself reading everyone's updates anyway, and before I know I have wasted an hour of my time and have nothing to show for it. I'm seriously thinking of deleting my account, but I just haven't quite got around to it yet.

Locksmith In Dallas Texas This Time Arouns

posted on 21 January 2012 in Home and Garden

A Locksmith has been known to unlock doors or fix anything that involves and uses locks and keys. It was hard for us before the digital age, when there was no internet and mobile phone service at that time, to look for or to call a locksmith especially late at night or early in the morning.

If you would be able to contact them, chances are they are available only during office hours. So if you got really lucky and you got locked out on a weekend, you might end up waiting for the locksmith outside your house until Monday morning. In this day and age, we don’t want such uncomfortable things to happen to us anymore.

With the current technology that we have, and information right at our fingertips, we can now easily contact and reach a locksmith in Dallas texas any time of the day and even during the weekends. So the next time you need something unlocked, don’t hesitate to call your ever and locksmith to help you out.

Buying Gadget Gifts that You Know People Will Love

posted on 19 January 2012 in Fashion

Unusual gifts often make the best gifts. Take my sister - she likes to use jewellery making supplies to make bespoke jewellery gifts for her femal friends. Me? I love to buy gadgets for people for their birthday and Christmas presents. Gadgets make great gifts as they are not only fun but save people time and effort which I know they will appreciate. Not only that but as gadgets tend to be marketed for a shorter period of time there is much less chance of getting people something that they already have which can make present time a bit uncomfortable. The best gadgets are ones that fit with an existing hobby or interest for the person you are buying for and there is something for nearly everyone. Kitchen and home entertainment gadgets are always popular but I tend to go for something more individual, for example the musicians in my family this year got a punch that makes guitar plectrums out of old bank cards. That’s individual, they know you have really picked out something special for them and they can use it time and time again.
