It seems like when we go to church anymore it is almost like a fashion show that I have not been invited to. The women wear beautiful hats, dresses, two tone pashmina shawls and heels. I love to go just so I can see what the new week will bring. Some of the women seem to never wear the same dress to service, ever. I do not know if they are actually purchasing new ones, making them by hand or just mixing them up. One thing I notice are the beautiful pashmina shawls that the ladies wear over their shoulders when the church is a bit chilly. It does matter who it is, the colors are beautiful. On occasion I rub against them when walking out the doors just to feel the softness of the fabric. They think I simply bumped into them, but I know I just really want to feel the shawl!Other Sources: chacha.com | pinterest.com | www.lovepashminas.comFurther Reading: flickr.com | shopzilla.com | howstuffworks.comMore Info: macrumors.com | telegraph.co.uk | lifehacker.com | instructables.comFurther Reading: wnd.com | gorillaleak.com | urbandictionary.com |

I absolutely love wearing cotton during the Summer. It is such a cool fabric, and is my favourite dressmaking fabric. I can be quite fussy and tend to select clothing that is 100% Cotton. I discovered cotton a few years ago after having an unpleasant experience with nylon. I have a huge array of dresses, cardigans and tops that are strictly reserved for the Summer. My best buy this year has been my designer label dress. I must have worn it least 50 times during the Summer. I live in a warm climate. The Summer can be pretty unbarable as the temperatures can go well above 40 degrees. This is the beauty of cotton. Often keeps me cool and to be honest looks a lot better than other materials such as nylon which is horrible during the Summer. Unfortunately I have noticed a lot of manufacturers are no longer making all cotton garments which can be a little annoying. Ideally I would like to produce my own line of cotton clothing. |

I was walking through a mall, killing time while I waited for my husband to get done with work, when I looked through a store's huge window and saw them on the back wall. They were black with silver heels that looked like spikes (although they weren't that pointy at the end). Open toed and very sleek, they were simply the sexiest shoes I had ever seen. While the store had all kinds of shoes there - anything from snow boots for women to beach sandals, it was these that really caught my attention. My heart skipped a few beats and then I walked, mentally restraining myself to keep from running, to the rack. Then, reaffirming my faith in a divine being, I discovered: they had them in my size, and, even better, they were on sale! I lovingly picked them up and took them to the register where the cashier complimented me on my choice, "Those are so cute," and instead of politely thanking her, I just responded with, "I know, right? I love them already." I only wear them on special occasions, which is why years later I still own them, and they are still my favorites.

My favourite fashion items are my boots. They’re sturdy, waterproof, long and most of all, warm. They’re sturdy enough to easily stay on my foot no matter what I’m doing, be it walking through knee deep snow and marching through an ankle deep puddle. I can wear them in any weather, and I can be sure that ill be both dry and warm. While my girl friends all would cite animal print handbags, leggings and other "girly" fashion as their favorites, I'm a real country girl. Even in warmer days, when the sun is shining and burning up, my boots are well insulated enough to keep me cool. I got the boots for a week of army camp, back when I was 17. It was there when I learned about the necessity of good quality boots. While everyone else was soaked to the bone and freezing on the 10 mile march, I was doing just fine. After that, I’ve always kept the boots by my door, so I’m always ready for whatever occasion I might need them for.

I love Crocs, they are the best shoes ever. There are so many varieties to choose from and so many styles, there is something for everyone! They are extremely comfortable, easy to put on-and lightweight. They have good grips and straps, which make them ideal for any season or weather condition they can be worn with or without socks for added comfort! Some of them come in fur lined, and some come plain. Mine are pink and have a plain inner lining- but they are extremely comfortable. I wear them on a daily basis, no matter what the season. I have worn them in the snow, rain, sleet, and ice – I have not yet slipped! These are all the reasons I love them- plus they are easy to get on and off, you don’t have pesky laces to mess with! I highly recommend crocs to anyone who likes comfortable and easy to handle shoes. |

When my sister told me that she was giving me a small fortune worth in jewelry for my twentieth birthday I thought she was bluffing. I was genuinely surprised when my birthday came and she came with some of the heirloom jewelry that was passed on to her by my grandmother. She was dead serious about giving the estate jewelry to me as a present.
Now that I had so much more precious things to keep, I didn’t know where to store them. I certainly didn’t have an earring organizer to keep the ten pieces of gemmed earrings that she parted with or the diamond necklaces that was part of the present. I finally figured out a solution, I used a toolshed container to keep them in temporarily while I shopped for a more suitable jewelry organizer that could keep all my newly acquired heirloom jewelry organized and most importantly, safe. |

A good-fitting pair of jeans is my absolute favorite! I mean, really, what can you NOT do in a pair of jeans? Not only are they versatile and comfortable, they feel great and look great as well. Sure, I do dress up for those special occasions - that's what Forever Unique dresses are for. But generally you'll see me in jeans. There are so many different sizes and styles to choose from you just can’t go wrong. I like to wear them every day of the week. Sometimes I like them a little loose and baggy, other times I like them form fitting and tight. My activities that I have planned for the day help me choose which jeans are right for me that particular day. I like button flies or zip up, pockets or no pockets, boot cut or flare, I like them all. When I have too much to eat at a meal I just pop the top, sit back and relax and pray that I can still fit in my favorite jeans the next day! |

I love my black pashmina as it never goes out of style and goes with whatever I wear. In these hard times economically, you can still be fashionable if you choose your colours carefully. Silver, gold, black, white, cream - these colours tend to go with any other colour, so for accessories, go with these colours. It'll save you buying a large collection of colours of pashminas, jewellery, belts, shoes etc. That's what I do and I always look stylish no matter what dress I wear, and I haven't spent a fortune on my accessories either.
They always say some colour-of-the-day is "the new black" - well there's a reason they say that. It's because black is the benchmark colour - it's the one colour that not only never goes out of style, but is THE most stylish colour out of all of them. That's why I always go for black.

Earrings are essential for all wardrobes. They can come in plastic, clip-on, sterling silver, gold plated, silver plated and they go well with just about everything. They can be made for everyone to wear. They come in every style, colour, metal, material and size. They can go with any outfit and turn a complete black outfit into a very glamorous one. Earrings can be found everywhere. And even though they break, hurt your ears, get caught on just about everything, they sure are mandatory for someone like myself. I own every colour, shape and size of earring there are. I'm extremely glad that earrings exist because if not, my outfits and wardrobes would be incomplete and I would be deeply saddened by this. They go so well with my other accessories - like my bangles and bracelets collection. In total, I have 7 piercings and have many different earrings to fit the holes. However, I dont take it to the extreme and gauge my ears, I guess I'm just old fashioned and keep my ears nice and perfect so that when I'm older my ears wont look like someone stabbed me with a big hook! |

My favorite fashion item would have to be shoes. I know that’s broad, and I have quite a collection - from silver occasion heels to trainers - so I’ll narrow it down to boots and moccasins. Boots are practical in almost any situation, ankle boots, knee high boots, thigh high boots, oh my! Rain boots in the spring, ankle boots in the summer, knee high for fall, and of course thigh high for the snowy winter months! Boots keep your feet dry and come in so many colors and styles, they seriously go with everything! That’s what makes them one of my favorites. Moccasins, while not as seasonally versatile, are super cute and super comfy at the same time. There are certain moccasins that come in a bootie style that are adorable for fall just don’t go puddle jumping in them! While some think that moccasins only compliment hippie styles I would have to disagree, they have moccasins with faux fur in them to keep your feet warm on crisp fall days, soul-less moccasins for that almost barefoot feeling. Moccasins are mostly about looking cute but they, like boots, offer a variety of colors you can always pair them up with any casual outfit! I think both boots and moccasins are a must have in any woman’s closet! |

My first experience of a fancy dress party was when I was around seven years old. My mother, a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh, saw this as an opportunity to dress everyone up and, dutifully, she spent many nights wrestling with fabric and our old sewing machine. Being the youngest, and smallest, I was to be Piglet. Now, I'm not much of a party animal, even back then, and judging by the photographs of the event (that my mother happily brings out whenever possible), I wasn't much of a party animal back then. While the rest of my family looked like they were having fun, I was the glummest Piglet ever recorded by camera. Now I'm older and even grumpier looking, I'd have to dress up as Eeyore. With the sewing skills I've picked up from my mother, I'm sure I could cobble together a costume that'd make me look the part. With my dour, sarcastic and generally resigned manner, I'm absolutely certain I could act the part. When people tell me to cheer up, the best I could offer would be a sullen "thanks for noticing me." |

Unusual gifts often make the best gifts. Take my sister - she likes to use jewellery making supplies to make bespoke jewellery gifts for her femal friends. Me? I love to buy gadgets for people for their birthday and Christmas presents. Gadgets make great gifts as they are not only fun but save people time and effort which I know they will appreciate. Not only that but as gadgets tend to be marketed for a shorter period of time there is much less chance of getting people something that they already have which can make present time a bit uncomfortable. The best gadgets are ones that fit with an existing hobby or interest for the person you are buying for and there is something for nearly everyone. Kitchen and home entertainment gadgets are always popular but I tend to go for something more individual, for example the musicians in my family this year got a punch that makes guitar plectrums out of old bank cards. That’s individual, they know you have really picked out something special for them and they can use it time and time again. |
