Diane was scheduled to leave on her trip to Australia in four short weeks. She kept going over her list of items to make sure she had everything. The only thing missing at this point was her passport. She had sent in the application three months ago. She thought she would have it by now. She decided to go back to the government website again. She knew exactly what to do, select the passport online status option. She had done this multiple times. This time however, she was pleased to see that her passport had been mailed two days ago. It was about time. Now all she had to do was wait for the mail carrier to deliver it. This trip was going to be so amazing. She had been waiting a log time to go to the Land Down Under. Now it was really going to happen. She would start out in Sydney. Then she had a four-day trek through the Outback planned. The guide was supposed to be an Aborigine. That was going to be so cool. She was hoping to see kangaroos and hopefully a koala or two. Then it was off to the coast for a diving trip to the Great Barrier Reef. That was something else she had waited a lifetime to see. The more she thought about it the more excited she became. |

My ideal vaction would be one where I travel around the world for around 90 days visiting all of the worlds amusement park. More specifically, I would like to ride as many of the world roller coasters as possible. I would take my closest family and friends and we would travel by personal jet. Every 3 days or so, we would be in a new county/area. We would start on the east side of the United States and work our way West. We would not only go to amusement parks but also visit any extreme tours or rides available in the area. We would stay in all kinds of accommodation to widen our experiences - from high-priced hotels to holiday cottages in the Peak District to camp sites. I would designate a few days a week to simply rest and relax as most of our activites would be fairly extreme. The would of course be tons of alcohol. We would live these 90 days as hard as we possibly can and enjoy every minute of it. Also we would find the best foods/restaurants to visit every day. |

When you have gone to the passport application center, there is someone who will attend to you and ensure that you have your passport by the time you ate through with the application and processing. They will also give you some passport advice to guide you when you are using the passport. If you have any question, you will ask them and they will give you all the answers you require. A one on one experience with these professionals at the passport center helps because it creates an environment that is comfortable for the applicant. For you to ask those questions that you have about passports, you have to get the right motivation to do that. The person that you talk with when applying for the travel document will be the one who determines if you ask the questions that you have. If they are friendly to you, they will make you comfortable to ask those questions that you have. If they are not friendly, you will have a problem if there is something that you want clarifications on. |

Family holidays in caravans and motorhomes in theory are a good idea, after all they are considerably cheaper than staying in a hotel or a resort but are they worth the hassle? My wife thought it would be a great chance to get away for a few days and not have to spend a great deal, I was dubious of these choices from the start. It meant that we had to go to a supermarket when we on route to the caravan park as it was in the middle of nowhere and the little shop on site had only basic provisions. When we got our belongings out of the car and into the caravan we spent a further hour putting clothes in wardrobes and draws, food in the cupboards, then to top it off we found that there were only 2 cups in the cupboard and 3 plates and various cutlery that didn't match (there were 4 of us in this caravan). So after a 2nd trip to a supermarket that was over 15 miles away we came back with a dinner set and some pans so we could cook our food. By this time it was starting to get dark and we had missed out on 1 day of relaxation, so we decided to get an early night and start fresh in the morning.Well the 2nd day came and I decided to do a cooked breakfast to give us a good foundation and keep us full till the afternoon, now this should have gone to plan but mid way though cooking the gas cut out and on further inspection found that the gas bottle was empty. I took a trip over to the site supervisors office and informed him only to be told that it would be changed within the next hour or so. Two and half hours later the bottle was changed and the breakfast (which was now brunch) was cooked. As you can imagine this was not an ideal start, after all we were only going to be staying for 4 days so to have been messed about didn't really sit well with us. Later on that day after we walked around the park and played in a nearby river we returned to the caravan to enjoy some dinner, this went without any problems and we decided to put the last 24 hours behind us and put it down to random bad luck. The rest of the vacation was nothing special and we managed to finally enjoy time as a family. In retrospect if we were to ever book a caravan holiday again I would want to make sure that there were all necessary things provided so that we don't waste any time and money running around having to buy things. I guess this was our learning curve where caravan holidaying is concerned, it certainly was a stressful one. |

For this last Christmas my family and I decided it would be good to get away for a week or so. We have a driving motorhome that allows us space in the back for our ATV's and dirt bikes. We all got time off of work and finally chose to head to New York. We packed all of our individual belongings, as well as our three 4-wheelers and 2 dirt bikes. As you all know how hilly it gets I'm sure you can imagine exactly what will happen when you don't put the bikes in gear or put the parking break on. Yup, we forgot. I don't know what exactly happened, but we did leave at about 4a.m., so the only thing I can think is that we were too tired to begin our journey from Florida to New York. Word of the stupid - never leave your house when everyone is half asleep otherwise, expect damage. |
